Introduction

The Kingspan insulated system is a range of roof, wall and ceiling solution which provides high
performance temperature controlled environments, for food manufacturing, storage, distribution, chill,
coldstore pharmaceutical, bio-technology industries and other applications where precise temperature
and hygiene safe performance is a requirement.

Design, Specification & Construction Teamwork

A range of external and internal construction solutions are available to provide temperature controlled and food and hygiene safe solutions:

• Internal Insulation System - Application: Wall and ceiling system - ‘box within a box’.
• External Insulation System - Application: External wall and roof system which requires a single-ply roof system.
• Cladrack System - Application: Roof and wall insulation supported by cladrack frame.

The Controlled Environment Insulated panel systems can be used in the construction of any of the above applications, all of which should be integrated as part of the whole building and not elementally. This involves integrating the foundations, floor slab, underfloor heating, main structure, cooling/chiller systems, sprinklers/mist systems, racking systems, loading docks and building envelope fabric on a project specific building purpose basis.
It is therefore essential for the teams involved in the design and construction process to work as a fully informed and coordinated unit to ensure a successful and cost-effective project.
